Tuxedos are one of our favorite things to do, and we hope you choose Mara, in Charles City, Iowa for your menswear.  Mara offers the largest selection of men's suits and tuxedos in Northeast Iowa.  Discover only trusted, local formalwear sources offering affordable suit and tuxedo rentals.  Whether you want to rent (or buy) the whole black tie ensemble, vests, and ties only, or anything in between, we would love to help you.  Our staff has been thoroughly trained in men's formalwear; we do alterations in-house and carry back-stock of the basics to solve last-minute problems.  

We welcome you to bring pictures or Pinterest boards to show us your inspiration and certainly encourage color swatches so we can match your menswear perfectly.  The first appointment will include the bride and groom choosing styles and colors together.  We will register the wedding party, which includes knowing all of the names of the groomsmen, ushers, fathers, and ringbearers, as well as anyone else needing a suit (officiant/grandfathers, etc.).  After the wedding party has been registered, you can start sending in the guys to be measured.

We recommend choosing styles and registering your groom's party 4 months before the wedding.  Start sending the groomsmen in to be measured 2-4 months before the wedding, and no later than 6 weeks.  The groomsmen do not have to put any money down until they pick up their rental.  (Most rentals cost between $100-$250 when it's all said and done)

The tuxedos will arrive the week of the wedding, no later than Thursday.  It's important that the groomsmen do their fitting at our store, so we can remedy any fit issues that may arise immediately.  Once you're out the door, have fun!!  The rentals are due back the Tuesday following the wedding between 10 am - 2 pm.  It is customary for one or two people to collect everything and return as a group.
